One of IDF’s basic challenges is communicating effectively with members of marginalized and excluded communities who are in many cases illiterate. IDF projects therefore use a range of appropriate information, education, and communication (IEC) materials as a primary tool for conveying the chosen message using clear and simple visual media. The IECs are often developed by community members themselves as part of the intervention, providing the added benefit of community participation and a subsequent sense of ownership.
IDF has gained the expertise in developing training modules on the basis of training needs prioritized after baseline assesment. Team of experts developes need-based training modules and learning materials in a user-friendly, easy to understand local language. The training modules comprise of a compendium of a design briefs of the training plan and session-wise programme schedule.
In association with UNFPA, IDF developed a training Module & reading reference material to train VHSNC members as catalysts for social change and to mobilize the community for its engagement for improving the CSR and to address the issue of Declining Sex Ratio and Enhancing the Value of Girl Child.

Child Marriage Free India
Access to Justice – Child Marriage IEC Material by Integrated development foundation under the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation.
This IEC materials developed on “Child Marriage Free India” is dedicated to combatting child marriage through information, education, and communication (IEC) materials.
Our materials aim to raise awareness and provide vital information on the consequences of child marriage. Through compelling visuals and easy-to-understand language, we shed light on the legal rights of children and the pathways to justice. Its aims to create awareness about child marriage and how to report if such cases occurs.
Flip chart aids fight against kala azar
With support from CAF India, IDF created a simple but comprehensive flip chart to educate the lowest and most deprived sections of the community in north Bihar villages about kala azar (black fever). Developed for use in group health education sessions, the flip chart vividly illustrates how an individual contracts the disease, describes its symptoms, presents the diagnosis and treatment plan, and demonstrates essential prevention methods. It has proved an extremely effective educational tool, and it has now been officially adopted by the Bihar state health department, which has committed to promoting it throughout the state with the goal of eliminating kala azar completely. The first panel and overlays from the flip chart are shown below.
Waste Management
This IEC material developed in a form of Venyl Display to educates community onMedical waste Management. Keeping four types of garbage/wastes bin – Yellow bin for infectious Waste, Bandages, gauze, cotton or any other objects in contact with body fluids, human body part,etc;Red bin for Plastic waste such as catheters, injection syringes, tubings, iv bottles; Blue bin for all types of glass bottles and broken glass articles, outdates &discardedmedicines; Black bin for Needles without syringes, blades,sharps and all metal articles.
Kala-Azar
This Venyl Display developed to create awareness on kalanazar (black fever) for reducing the cases and education sessions how an individual contracts the disease, describes its symptoms, presents the diagnosis and treatment plan, and demonstrates essential prevention methods.
Complete Immunization
This Venyl Display developed on “Complete immunization and its benefits” to create awareness on protection of child against serious illnesses like polio, which can cause paralysis; measles, which can cause brain swelling and blindness; and tetanus, which can cause painful muscle contractions and difficulty eating and breathing.
DRR
These IEC materials in the form of Vinyl display educate people on “Flood preparedness and adopt adequate practices of clean water & sanitation.
Promote Basic Hygiene Practices
These IEC materials were developed to generate awareness among the rural communities to promote basic hygiene practices in rural areas and prevent deadly disease born out of unsafe water and lack of sanitation & hygiene.
Prevention of COVID 19
This Poster is developed and distributed among the marginalized communities to generate awareness on precautionary measures for prevention of COVID 19.

This is a testimonial IEC which developed by multiple ideas to face natural disasters with the many real based success stories to fight against disasters and become resilient.

This Flipbook is developed to educates community through various pictorial messages about the child trafficking and child labour (Prohibition and Regulation)Act.
