Outreach :  The project is basically aimed to empower local people to address numerous interconnected issues associated with their family needs such as Healthcare, Quality Education, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene and Livelihood in a sustainable way.

Project Brief:
To make a long term and sustainable impact in the five aspect of Integrated Development Foundation, IDF under the flagship of HDFC Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility started a project in November 2016 in 10 selected villages of Samastipur District, to stimulate holistic Community development.
The project is basically aimed to empower local people to address numerous interconnected issues associated with their family needs such as Healthcare, Quality Education, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene and Livelihood in a sustainable way.

To address the interlinked socio-economic issues, the project has been designed & implemented with a wide range of software & hardware interventions;  from installation of Hand pumps & building IHLs & sanitation blocks to ensure access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation practices upgrading classrooms & School Infrastructure for value enriched learning environment , building libraries & replenishing sports equipment’s in schools to promote quality education in the child friendly way and to reduce dropouts, training grassroots’ health functionaries on  safe motherhood, institutional delivery, immunization, nutrition component to facilitate decrease in MMR and IMR  & to provide livelihood to the deprived family by providing capital inputs for dairy, goatry animal husbandry & promotion of vermi Compost, Zero Tillage for agriculture upgradtion  as well various vocational trainings  to youth resulting into increase in the household income as well some social awareness workshops & training programs for women, social leaders & PRI members to improve overall life standards of the community meeting all social development indicators.

By completion of the project it aims to improve the standard and quality of living of the poor families through a ‘holistic and enabling program’ approach as well to harmonize with millennium development goals in terms of access to quality Education and Health Care Services, improved Sanitation and Hygiene Practices & achieved  ODF status , enabled to earn substantial & sustainable livelihood  and alleviation of poverty by empowering the women & youth and making these villages   self-dependent ,self-reliant , clean & green with proper infrastructure and other facilities. In other words, the program aims to support communities which can become sustainable in the long run and achieve growth in terms of indicators of human and social development.
