Project Brief :
IDF worked to Increase outreach and coverage for COVID 19 vaccination with the support of AzimPremji Philanthropic Initiative. Organization accelerated the pace and rate of COVID 19 vaccination of eligible target population in all the Panchayats of Laxmipur block, Jamui district thereby saving the lives of people. Since Vaccine hesitancy was a serious barrier for uptake of services and achievement of herd immunity, IDF undertook numerous initiatives like door-to-door visit, engaging ANM/GNM or other frontline workers, Conduction of IEC campaign to foster mass mobilization and scientific dissemination. Vaccination camps were organized in hard-to-reach areas for facilitating better access to vaccination services. The Insurgency was another problem faced by the team in scaling up the operation as the vaccinators/ANM was both afraid and reluctant to visit in the area. Organization engaged5 community mobilizers and 43 local level volunteers to instill faith in the vaccination team, limiting the refusal by people and extend support in accessing services for the people.

Achievements:

74 IEC campaigns conducted for mobilization of people for taking Covid-19 vaccination.75 Vaccination Campaigns were organised.69296 people got first dose, 56732 people got second dose and 985 people got precaution dose of COVID 19 vaccine.
