Women
IDF has been committed to Women Empowerment focusing improvement in the quality of life of poor rural women and their families. It has undertaken different interventions which includes –
- Formation of Self Help Group of dalit women and Life skill trainings for livelihood promotion.
- Strengthening the women leaders of Local Governance system (PRI) for democratic decision making, accountability, effective functioning and service delivery.
- Counseling and educating women of reproductive age on Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights.
- Empowering women for raising their voice against gender-based violence and participation in democratic spheres.
- Leveraging resources for development of women and girls from various government programs & schemes, especially the resources under GPDP.
- Build capacity to take lead in planning implementation and monitoring of local development plans and program.
Since its inception, IDF is focused on Women Empowerment with the aim to improve the quality of life of poor rural women and their families. In order to achieve the goal, IDF has taken multipronged approach which includes –

- Counseling and Mobilizing women of reproductive age on Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights
- Empowering women and adolescent girls for raising their voice against gender-based violence and demanding political participation & decision making
- Mobilizing resources for development of women and girls from various government programs & schemes, especially the resources under GPDP.
- Capacitate women for water quality testing with FTKs (Field Testing Kits) for adopting safe water practices.
